Position Summary:
The Associate Director, Product Management – Heme Oncology leads growth and innovation within the heme oncology portfolio, sitting at the intersection of science, product strategy, and commercial execution in a rapidly evolving and high-impact area. This role shapes and executes product strategy, drives go-to-market excellence, and delivers a differentiated, data-driven customer experience, leveraging expertise in heme oncology diagnostics across the care continuum to translate insights into actionable strategies that improve clinical decision-making and patient outcomes. The Associate Director, Product Management – Heme Oncology is a high-visibility, high-ownership role that requires independent thinking, urgency, and strong cross-functional partnership in a matrixed organization, combining technical expertise, business acumen, and innovative thinking to accelerate growth in a strategically important area.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead development and execution of product strategy for heme oncology offerings grounded in market research, customer insights, and competitive intelligence
- Identify and prioritize growth opportunities through data-driven analysis including market trends, customer behavior, and performance metrics
- Build business cases and strategic roadmaps to guide investment decisions and portfolio evolution
- Co-own and drive end-to-end go-to-market strategy including positioning, segmentation, messaging, pricing, and launch planning
- Partner closely with Commercial, Marketing, and Medical to ensure strong field execution, sales enablement, and adoption
- Monitor launch performance and continuously optimize based on real-world data and customer feedback
- Champion a customer-first mindset with deep understanding of oncologists, pathologists, and care teams
- Leverage qualitative and quantitative insights to enhance the end-to-end customer journey from ordering through results interpretation and billing
- Ensure product and workflow design supports clinical utility, ease of use, and decision confidence
- Own full product lifecycle from concept through commercialization, optimization, and sunset
- Continuously assess portfolio performance and make proactive recommendations to enhance value and impact
- Drive innovation by identifying unmet needs and translating them into differentiated product solutions
- Serve as key connector across R&D, Clinical/Medical, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Market Access, IT, Business Development, and Regulatory to align priorities and execution
- Lead through influence in a matrixed environment ensuring clear communication, alignment, accountability, and best practice sharing
- Operate with strong bias for action, maintaining momentum across multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment
- Balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution to deliver measurable business and clinical impact
- Bring innovative ideas and new perspectives that challenge conventional thinking and expand team capabilities
Experience, Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; MBA and/or Master’s or PhD in a scientific discipline preferred
- 8 or more years of experience in product management, strategy, or commercial roles including 4 or more years of people management experience required with a strong background in oncology diagnostics, MRD, hematologic malignancies, or related healthcare sectors (pharmaceuticals, medical devices, healthcare technology) preferred
- Proven track record of launching and scaling products, driving market adoption and growth, leveraging market research and customer insights to inform strategy
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and influencing abilities in a matrixed organization
- Strong communication and storytelling skills with ability to engage audiences from technical teams to executive leadership
- High degree of ownership, accountability, and resilience
- Customer-centric mindset with focus on delivering superior experiences and outcomes
- Innovative, forward-thinking approach with ability to challenge assumptions and drive continuous improvement

Pay Range (will vary based on location & experience) $153,729.56 - $265,183.49 + annual bonus
In all instances, the salary paid will satisfy minimum salary laws.
